Job Opportunity: Lecturer in Accounting

To support our continuing growth, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Lecturer in Accounting within the Department of Finance, Accounting and Risk, based in the Glasgow School for Business and Society.

Role Overview

As a Lecturer in Accounting, you will have a focus on providing high-quality learning and teaching that is underpinned by scholarly activity. We are keen to receive applications from people who will enhance our delivery of and reputation in Accounting. Applicants should hold relevant qualifications in the subject area, and be able to demonstrate significant recent experience of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Relevant industry experience would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the delivery and assessment of existing modules
  2. Supervision and enhancement of the student experience across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
  3. Possess expertise in specialisms such as public sector accounting, financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, and audit
  4. Support student learning, teaching, and assessment in higher education
  5. Engage in further development of the subject area to ensure academic rigor
