We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Specialty Doctor in ENT on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful ENT department.
Our client is one of the largest acute teaching Trusts in England, we offer learning and development opportunities to help you achieve the career you aspire to, with a 'Good' rating by the CQC and in the latest national NHS Staff Survey, we were in the top 10 acute trusts for staff engagement and for staff recommending the hospital as a place to work or receive care. The successful appointee will join a team of ENT head and neck cancer surgeons including Consultants, Fellows and Specialty Registrars that deliver the full range of Head and neck cancer, thyroid and laryngology services. The hospital is a tertiary referral centre and the range of services offered reflects this. The appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties, these include: should have the training and skills in ENT Surgery and diagnostic Head and Neck Cancer surgery, experience as a senior specialty registrar/doctor with particular expertise in diagnostic pathways for head and neck cancer, participate in the delivery of ENT cancer services especially diagnostic pathway, will be expected to participate in the emergency cover/ on call rota and provide cover in unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate Consultant & will also be expected to assist in such duties like teaching of junior medical staff and nursing & assistance in duties like Clinical Governance and audit. Our client's location is an attractive place to live and work situated on the south coast, with an international airport and direct trains to London. The New Forest National Park and beaches of the Jurassic coast are also right on our doorstep. The city offers living costs 20% lower than London and 14 schools rated outstanding by Ofsted.
