Exciting opportunity for a Commercial Contracts Advisor to join this global Energy company.
This is an exciting time to be joining this world-leading company as they transform themselves from a traditional Oil & Gas company into a leading name within the Renewables sector. This includes the creation of an already highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team as well as new ventures into various innovative solutions around the supply of Renewables including wind farms, electric vehicle charging, solar panel heating and battery storage. The role sits within the Trading & Supply arm of the business of which integrates a worldwide trading network with an unsurpassed global portfolio in crude oil, refined products, natural gas, electrical power and chemicals, from its main locations in London, Houston, Calgary, Singapore, Dubai, Rotterdam, and The Bahamas.
Provide pre- and post-deal commercial and contractual advice for the trading business, including new customer value propositions and strategic opportunities.
Develop in-depth knowledge of European Gas, Power, and Environmental Products contracts, including Master Agreements (ISDAs, EFETs), bespoke contracts, storage agreements, and credit support documentation.
Take ownership of negotiations for both standard and complex agreements, collaborating with Legal, Credit, Tax, Finance, and Business Development teams to secure optimal terms, mitigate risks, and reduce profit leakage.
Drive process improvements across cross-functional teams to increase efficiency and minimize business risks. Manage the implementation of new processes within the Contracts team.
Support compliance with the Control Framework, including SOX controls, Contractual Allocation of Risk Framework (CARF), and Manual of Authorities (MOA).
Maintain accurate records of agreements in negotiation and ensure executed agreements are stored in accordance with Group Records Management Policy.
Skilled at managing stakeholders across different levels, with a deep understanding of pre-deal contract processes and strong relationships with functional areas.
