The Senior Technical Architectwill have a detailed understanding of information technologies, including O365, Azure, hybrid cloud environments, on premise infrastructure and third-party solutions. The Senior Technical Architectwill work closely with other architecture disciplines and business stakeholders to develop NNL's technology landscape in response to business needs / requirements, producing design artefacts as appropriate (Impact Assessments, HLDs, LLDs, proof of concepts etc.) to support the implementation and transition of solutions into service.Senior Technical Architectis an important member of Architecture Review Board and owns the technology direction.It is a unique opportunity to shape & influence new strategy, augment IT team's expertise and provide leadership capability; Main Responsibilities for Senior Technical Architect:
Accountable for the NNL IT Infrastructure and it's operational management and security.
Ownership of the Technology Infrastructure Strategies to underpin NNL's ongoing digital transformation.
Responsible for the analysis of infrastructure change and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the NNL.
Trusted advisor to senior management for Infrastructure risk management and remediations.
Responsible for ensuring information technical solutions developed aligns with IT strategy and technology direction.
Creating innovative proof of concepts (code, application, configuration) to demonstrate solutions to senior stakeholders.
Analysis and communication of technical risks associated with technology solutions and existing services to various stakeholders within the IT department and the wider business.
Essential Criteria for Senior Technical Architect:
Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years' worth of UK residency).
Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, SaaS, InTune and Office 365 Administration.
A proven track record in the design and development of enterprise grade solutions for traditional on premise and modern cloud or hybrid environments in secure industries.
Experienced with security controls including SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning, Server and Client Security, ZScaler and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
Can develop and deliver enterprise level solution designs using suitable technologies, adopting standards, and governing their implementation as appropriate.
Desirable Criteria for Senior Technical Architect:
Possesses good breadth and depth of knowledge and knowhow across multiple aspects of IT and architectural domains including Technology, Application, Data and Security.
Demonstrable experience in the information technology sector in related roles (for example: technical architecture, technical analysis, application development, network, or infrastructure engineering etc.)
Experience of working in accredited / regulated environments, production of documentation and balancing business benefit against technology risk.
Able to produce high quality documentation with appropriate technology views / diagrams (such as high-level designs).
Degree in IT or an engineering related subject with relevant technology certification / accreditation.
