Are you an experienced and dynamic Maintenance Technician with a passion for electrical and electro - mechanical systems? We're searching for a day shift Engineering Technician to elevate our client’s production capabilities and ensure seamless operations across their plant. Reporting to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, you'll be a key player in driving process improvements, installation and commissioning projects, and reducing plant breakdowns through proactive maintenance. Fault finding on electrical / electro-mechanical systems.

* Identify and spearhead process and machinery improvement projects to enhance H&S, output, efficiency, and reliability.

* Lead the installation and commissioning of new production lines, services, and equipment.

* Support and mentor the Maintenance team in refining department processes and practices.

NVQ Level 4/City & Guilds/OND or equivalent mechanical/electrical/engineering biased qualification or time served knowledge is essential.

* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an engineering/maintenance-based role within a multi-functional manufacturing facility is highly desirable. In the absence of maintenance experience gained from a manufacturing environment, transferable engineering skills from other backgrounds such as the armed forces will also be considered.

* Experience of working on plant improvement projects.

* General understanding of mechanical control principles.

* Experience of using ladder logic to fault find on PLC machinery would be beneficial, but not essential.

* IT literacy - MS Word, Excel, Power-point.

5% Company bonus.

* This is a day shift position working Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 16:00 & Friday’s 07:00 to 11:50 (who doesn’t love an early finish on a Friday)
