Are you an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in the Chemical industry? Do you possess exceptional negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of optimizing procurement processes? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our clients team as a Procurement Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse data and evaluate supplier performance to drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost targets.
  • Manage the procurement budget and forecast future needs based on business growth and demand projections.
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies and processes to optimise sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management within the Chemical industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and align procurement goals with business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements to proactively mitigate risks and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive advantage.

Requirements:

  • CSCP or CPSM preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within the Chemical industry, with a solid understanding of chemical products, raw materials, and suppliers.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end procurement processes, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimise procurement strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and environmental considerations.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
