We are currently partnering with a growing accountancy organisation in Northampton, recruiting for an Account Manager. This is a full time, permanent position, with hybrid working and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle). Key Responsibilities: Line manage and develop the staff in the accounts team Manage and implement Accounts Workflow Procedures in relation to all aspects of accounts preparation, ensuring team do the same and standards are maintained at a high level Manage incoming accounts jobs to ensure that resources are available to meet client’s accounting deadlines and match internal resources available Report to Partners directly, ensuring queries are cleared and exceptions/points of note are communicated to Partners for client communications Work with Seniors to liaise with clients to ensure work is planned efficiently and necessary documentation is obtained Oversee and review workflow preparation of statutory accounts from both computer and manual records Specifically manage allocated accounts assignments Corporation tax computations and returnsExperience/Skills Needed: ACCA / ACA qualified Strong UK practice experience with 4-5 years post qualification Previous line management experience Financial Reporting – UK GAAP experience Excellent communication, interpersonal and client management skills Able to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment Team player Confident, positive, professional and can-do attitude Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly Create a positive impression with clients and staffCompany Benefits: Career progression plans In-depth training process Competitive salary and benefits package including pension, life assurance, health cash plan, retail discount scheme, electric vehicles salary sacrifice, cycle to work Generous holiday allowance Wellbeing programme with regular events and activities focused on your physical and mental wellbeing – employees are also offered one Wellbeing Day off a yearIf you have the relevant skills and experience, you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity, so click ‘Apply’ now If you know someone suitable for this role, share the word and through our referral scheme receive up to £250 for further details on our recommendation scheme.
