Milestone Infrastructure is currently looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Administrator to work on our Hampshire Highways contract in Winchester .

As the Senior Commercial Administrator you will be part of our Commercial Team working on the Hampshire Highway Service Contract (HHSC) maintaining Hampshire County Roads and Bridges.

Key responsibilities:

  • Cost and Value management
  • Assist with providing commercial and financial reporting information
  • Work with the operations team to prepare clear and accurate quarterly forecasts
  • Identifying contract variations
  • Management and recording of changes including submission and agreement of early warning notices compensation events and quotations.
  • Ensure compliance with Skanska standards and procedures in respect of Commercial activities
  • Agreement of final accounts
  • Understanding Client Budgets and maintaining constant dialog to reach year end targets
  • Implement commercial processes to ensure contractual entitlement is realised
  • Subcontract procurement and management
  • Monthly cost and value reconciliation & management.
  • Work within strict deadlines required under the contract and required by the company
  • Site visits.
  • Ad hoc commercial duties as job requires

Success Measures:

  • Assisting with optimisation of commercial return on a section or whole project.
  • Assisting with control of cost, value, cash management, change and risk on a section or whole project.
  • Assisting with timely detailed reporting to QS.
  • Assisting with timely procurement of subcontractors

Skills and Experience:

  • A level of identifiable commercial experience
  • Good People/organisational skills.
  • IT proficient, particularly in MS Office
  • Ability to investigate, evaluate and respond to situations quickly.
  • General knowledge of the construction industry
  • Organisational skills necessary to manage and organise own workload.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at levels commensurate with role, both verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to respond to changing priorities to meet deadlines
