If you're a Building Control professional or Architect with a knack for Health and Safety, this could be the perfect fit. You'll work on high-end residential and heritage projects, with plenty of opportunities to grow your role with this AJ100 architectural firm.
With their projects being featured in several industry and lifestyle publications regularly, the practice's portfolio of projects ranges from beautiful historic buildings and private homes to commercial properties and interiors in the UK and internationally.
Lead in planning, managing, and monitoring design work
Advise architectural teams to ensure compliance with Building Regulations
Manage and develop Principal Designer duties under the Building Safety Act
Collaborate with teams to execute strategic initiatives and meet key performance indicators
Monitor design phases for compliance and assist in assessing Duty Holders' competence
Provide creative solutions to design challenges and promote sustainability practices
Liaise with external teams, attend project meetings and keep project managers informed
Coordinate training on building regulations and mentor staff
Support financial management, project organisation, and health and safety documentation.
Excellent knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022
In-depth understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster strong relationships with design directors, senior leadership, and architectural teams
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Degree in Architecture, Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a similar field
Competitive salary dependent on experience
~ Hybrid working with 3 days per week required in the office
