We’re looking for a creative, highly motivated and organised Social Media Account Manager to join our growing Client Services team. You’ll be leading on social media strategy, planning and implementation across client accounts.

Working across a range of social media channels, you'll lead on campaigns and projects producing engaging content, analysing usage data, building client relationships and facilitating customer service. You will be comfortable with integrating both organic and paid strategies.

As well as being at the forefront of growing our clients’ social media presence, you will be leading the development of this area of Sponge’s business.

The Role

You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of projects, as well as building and maintaining customer relationships, to ensure Sponge retains its amazing clients and is set for further growth.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver creative social media strategies and content for our clients that increase engagement and brand awareness;
  • Manage the day-to-day handling of client social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels and audiences;
  • Regularly liaise with clients and build relationships;
  • Manage and track budgets, and create performance reports;
  • Form key relationships with influencers across social media platforms;
  • Undertake audience research and analyse competitor activity;
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to posts and developing conversations;
  • Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance using the latest tools and techniques in order to recommend improvements; and
  • Identify consumer trends to help with planning social media campaigns.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of four years’ relevant experience;
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills, interpretation of data and ability to make recommendations based on insight;
  • Proven track record of meeting client requirements and delivering projects on time and to budget;
  • A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to increasing clients’ online brand awareness;
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills suitable for differing platforms;
  • Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas;
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills;
  • Outstanding organisation and the ability to prioritise tasks;
  • A keen eye for detail and a calm approach when under pressure;
  • The ability to solve problems and think creatively, coupled with the passion and drive to deliver great work;
  • An understanding of how commercial businesses operate; and
  • Comfortable working in a Mac environment.
