BIM Coordinator
Location: Silvertown Tunnel Project, Greenwich
The Project
The Silvertown Tunnel project was awarded to the consortium Riverlinx CJV (Ferrovial Construction, BAM and SK) at the end of May 2019. This complex 5-year project will construct a twin-bore road tunnel under the Thames in east London which will link Silvertown to the Greenwich Peninsula. The Silvertown Tunnel aims to prepare for London's future population growth and relieve the congestion and poor air quality around the 122-year-old Blackwall tunnel. It is the UK's first road tunnel to have dedicated bus lanes, buses are all expected to be zero emission vehicles and will support the increasing demand for bus transport across Greenwich, Newham and Tower Hamlets.
The Silvertown Tunnel (STT) Project involves the construction of a twin-bore road tunnel with a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), providing a new connection between the A102 Blackwall Tunnel Approach on Greenwich Peninsula and the Tidal Basin Roundabout junction on the A1020 Lower Lea Crossing/ Silvertown Way.
We are looking for BIM Coordinator, that will be in charge of updating models and drawings, for the project handover. Knowledge and experience creating parametric families, utilizing shared parameters, creating schedules, and creating complex geometry from 2D information (Red Lines) would be required. Further work includes working with the BIM Manager and he rest of the Team in updating 3D models (Geometrical and Information) for the As built stage. The role will also be required to perform drawings and input of marked‐up drawings into Revit in accordance with Client Standards. Essential duties and responsibilities
• Lead modelling efforts on projects working with BIM technicians to complete deliverables.
• Setup and/or Update Revit views and sheets.
• Ability to create Revit work sets and understanding of Revit work sharing process.
• Input of marked‐up drawings into Revit.
• Fluency in the 2D and 3D space (Revit, Civil 3D and AutoCAD).
• Understanding of 3D coordination (Navisworks).
• Prepare copies and help make sets of documents for transmittal to other parties (ProjectWise).
• Download drawings and information from the Web, SharePoint and ProjectWise.
• Must have solid working knowledge of the most current modelling applications software (Revit), including being able to create and manipulate Revit families, views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters…
• Fluency for importing documents, such as spread sheets, photos, images, and word processing files into Revit projects. Education and experience
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of total experience in Autodesk package (Revit, Civil 3D…) Knowledge, skills, and ability
• Fluency in 2019 and 2023 version of Revit software
• Fluency in develop 2D drawings AutoCAD and Revit
• Fluency in Autodesk Navisworks
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
