Title: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Shifts: 4 on 4 off Shifts (Permanent Nights, 17:00 - 05:00)
My client is an nationally recognised manufacturer currently working with some very impressive big names within the food production industry. Due to their growth and the opening of their new site, they are seeking a senior multi-skilled maintenance engineer with experience within a FMCG manufacturing industry or similar work environment to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
They are in the process of creating a site where engineers want to come to work, where there is no blame culture and everyone can enjoy themselves in a fast-paced but low-pressure work environment where they have enough facilities and staff to ensure you enjoy coming to work
To do this they have set up a brand new site with the latest equipment, a canteen serving hot and cold foods on-site 24/7, yearly pay rises and appraisals to discuss where you would like to go in the company to ensure you are able to grow and progress within the company long term, free parking and electric car charging ports, and options for your shift patterns and your training and career progression
The ideal candidate would be a competent multi-skilled engineer comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated automated environment. You must be able to work well with others, have a positive attitude towards work and want to grow within the company long-term. The role will include supporting the team in dismantling and replacing machine parts. You must be comfortable handling both electrical and mechanical repairs on the conveyor systems and ensure the efficiency of the production line.
Several years experience working within a FMCG environment, preferable food production.
Hold a level 3 NVQ / HNC / HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Must be a team player and willing to fit in with the family style ethos of the maintenance engineer team.
Be familiar with electrical troubleshooting, predominantly with PLCs.
