We have an opportunity for a Financial Reporting Manager, working as part of a team, to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting for the management of controls which govern this. This will include preparation of Group's statutory accounts, financial regulatory reporting, as well as monitoring and validating Finance controls. The role will provide technical accounting advice across the business as well as co-ordinate and assisting with internal and external audit processes. Key responsibilities will include;
• Assisting the external auditors in their enquiries, support the delivery of audit actions on time and actively manage risks and issues to timelines
• Providing technical advice to across the business, including preparation of accounting papers and review of new deals from an accounting and risk perspective
• Collaborating with audit teams to assess control gaps, recommend and implement process improvements
• Performing regular risk assessments of our commercial operations and contribute to the development of risk mitigation strategies
• Proactively seeking out and making improvements across finance, whether this is control improvements, technical training or bringing clarity to financial operations and transactional data
• As part of a team, supporting the preparation of company and consolidated statutory accounts, as well as other regulatory reporting
• Preparing other monthly reporting and reconciliations for management purposes as required
• Operating key finance controls, as well as support in limited month-end general ledger entries where needed.

You'll ideally have experience in a similar role, demonstrating the following skills and attributes;
• Be an accountant (ACA or equivalent)
• Have experience of reporting within a large company or audit practice
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS and consolidation
• Familiarity with the processes and procedures to manage internal controls
• Skilled in preparing clear and accurate documentation about technical issues and control reviews
• Possess the ability to make complex technical accounting simple for non-financial stakeholders
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
