Saw Operator Up to 24,901k Bristol 37.5 hours - Nights or Rotational shifts Monday to Friday Saw Operator / Nights / Days / Afternoons / Bristol / operator We are delighted to be working with a successful and established distribution company based in Bristol, who are recruiting for a Saw Operative on a permanent basis, to work on a rotational shift pattern or night shifts. The Saw Operative will be reporting to the Production Supervisor, and your main responsibilities will be to operate the saw machines, move the stock throughout the warehouse, and operative forklifts. Main duties and responsibilities of an Saw Operator:

  • Adherence to health and safety at all times
  • Checks to material allocated to be cut, length, width, thickness, spec, alloy, grain direction, lot number before cutting
  • Checks to cut plan, and any additional drawings to agree with advised sizes on sale order before cutting
  • Cuts and verifies parts are within customer required tolerances, using tape, micrometer, and caliper instruments
  • Program saw for cutting operation.
  • Weighs all cut pieces and rems
  • Ensures all cut material is on a fit for purpose pallet or skids for safe packaging
  • Operates fork trucks and jib cranes when required
  • Manual lifting up to 20kgs
  • All PPE must be worn, no exception
  • Performs stock take duties when required
Experience/knowledge requirements for an Saw Operator:
  • Health and safety experience
  • FLT Licence
  • Good team working skills
