We're seeking a proactive and confident Credit Controller with strong communication skills, and a solid background in end-to-end credit control. Working 4 days per week, you'll play a key role in managing customer credit and collections, ensuring timely payments, minimising overdue accounts, and maintaining positive relationships that support our continued growth.

Day to Day
Manage and evaluate new customer credit applications, assessing risk and setting appropriate credit limits in line with company policy.
Proactively manage and recover outstanding debts to maintain strong cash flow and minimise overdue balances.
Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve invoice or payment issues promptly.
Prepare and present regular debtor and credit risk reports to the finance team and management.
Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, handling payment queries and negotiating repayment plans with tact and diplomacy.
Identify opportunities to streamline credit control processes and contribute to continuous improvement within the finance function.
Liaise with legal partners where necessary to support the recovery of aged debt through formal proceedings.
What we're looking for in Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in end-to-end credit control, with proven success in reducing debtor days and managing aged debt
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills — you'll be
comfortable engaging with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels
Solid understanding of credit risk management and financial processes
Working knowledge of accounting or ERP systems
Knowledge of credit control regulations and debt recovery processes
Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
Organised and able to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting
Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset
Hands-on experience using Sage accounting software is desirable
