We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join a leading provider of Cross-Domain and Data Diode network Cyber Security solutions across governments, defence, and critical infrastructure.
As the Business Development Representative, embark on an exciting mission to support the sales team to establish their presence as a market leader. This role involves you paving the way for the growth of their commercial and Defence/MOD sales efforts.
The role is a 50/50 split between Commercial/Private and Defence sales.
You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer providing outbound sales activities, working closely with the Marketing Team to generate high quality lead generation. This will include developing a network of clients and prospects within their target markets and working closely with clients to understand how their consulting solutions can help solve their requirements.
Develop and execute a robust market entry strategy to establish footprint in the Commercial Sector and Defence ensuring rapid growth and market recognition.
Be responsible for generating the initial sales revenue that will serve as the foundation for building a sales team.
Market Analysis:
Conduct thorough market analysis to identify untapped opportunities, understand customer needs, and stay ahead of emerging trends in the Commercial Sector and Defence.
Drive the early-stage sales growth through effective lead generation, customer acquisition, and strategic account management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to equip the sales team with the tools, resources, and product knowledge necessary for success.
Implement accurate sales forecasting and reporting mechanisms, tracking KPIs and metrics to measure and demonstrate sales performance.
Manage the sales budget prudently, allocating resources strategically to support sales initiatives.
Experience in enterprise new business sales inside the Commercial/ Private Sector AND Defence/MOD/Military.
-Expertise in Cyber Security - cross-domain security, ideally Data Diode space (but not essential)
-A solid commercial understanding with ability to influence c - level decision-makers.
-Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and the ability to assist colleagues.
-Knowledge of the enterprise market and comfortable with the deal sizes and length of sales cycles.
