£competitive salaries Our research and development client specialises in electric motors, controllers, and inverters for vehicles and equipment. They are looking to recruit an Electronics Technician (production) to join their Electronics Engineering team. JOB DESCRIPTION Purpose

The Electronics Technician is an integral member of the world class engineering team, responsible for supporting the Lead Electronics Engineer to bring product to market by establishing how to optimise the assembly, build and manufacture for all of the electronics designs. Supporting designs from concept to production, including all development work, soldering, cables assemblies, PCBA while supporting end of line manufacturing requirements of electronics. Duties

Soldering and bench assembly of prototype/in house small production & prototype build, test fixture building and operation, fabrication of parts, cables and test fixtures.

First article inspection & testing of received parts

Working in accordance with engineering change orders to modify existing electronics designs

Maintaining a health and safety compliant environment.

Responsible for the demonstrations of production processes at customer sites

To complete any other reasonable tasks identified by the line manager or project manager

Ensure company standards are met for hardware designs, both regulatory and best practice

All electronics rework, stock and processes within the working environment ensuring all activities are working in accordance with company standards.

Ensure deliverables are met in accordance with the project plans, assessing resources required to complete work packages, communicating any problems / updates to leadership team Accountabilities

HND in an engineering related discipline or relevant experience Experience

Experience in working in a electronics production environment and a full understanding of working in accordance with process and standards in large volume production.

Good understanding of IPC standards

Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of electronic Engineering

Experience reading Schematics & Drawings

Experience in failure mode analysis, & V&V testing

Experience using PCB CAD Software for viewing designs & locating components (Altium preferred) Skills/Abilities/Knowledge/Qualities

Ability to work overseas territories as required by business needs
