Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.
From some of the most vulnerable people in our society, to families in crisis, claimants and commercial businesses - HMCTS has a responsibility to administer a justice system that is accessible to everyone and operates efficiently.
Our Public Sector client are looking for a temporary employee to join their team as an Executive Officer. This is a temporary role until May 2025. This is a full-time role, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. 74ph, paid on a weekly basis.
This is fully office based, with no remote or hybrid opportunities due to the nature of the work. The office is located in Gloucester but may involve some travel to Cirencester.
To manage the courtroom to ensure that cases are dealt with promptly in liaison with judiciary, legal profession and staff and to ensure that all subsequent results are accurately & promptly recorded in line with targets. Please note, whilst the post holder will be allocated to a specific office base, there will be a need for flexibility to work on a regular basis at other local HMCTS offices. Where applicable, associated travel cost / time will be applied in line with organisational policies.

To determine all claims for costs including re-determinations, Prior Authority and Wasted Costs and provide written reasons in accordance with the appropriate regulations and within targets.
