We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Compliance Officer to oversee the compliance processes within our healthcare organisation preferably with experience care management software. This pivotal role ensures our staff remain compliant with industry regulations and standards, including the Care Act, NMC regulations, and all mandatory training requirements for the health and social care sector. The position is office-based, offering a professional and modern working environment. Key Responsibilities: Compliance Oversight, Implement and manage the Care Management System to ensure all operational aspects are compliant with legal and regulatory frameworks. Audit and Reporting: Conduct weekly and monthly audits on Existing Personnel records to determine the necessity for:

  • Training updates
  • NMC PIN revalidations,
  • DBS expiry checks
  • Mandatory training updates
  • Proof of address
  • Right to work checks
Contact individuals to obtain missing documentation in a timely manner. Ensure full compliance of new starter files for nurses and healthcare assistants prior to their engagement.
  • Conduct detailed audits of new starter files.
  • Verify compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Address and rectify non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of audits and compliance status.
Ensure all new staff meet required compliance standards before employment commencement. Training and Development Identify training needs and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure all staff are up-to-date with required certifications and knowledge. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the recruitment team and SMT to align recruitment practices with compliance standards. Provide Senior Management team with weekly & monthly report regarding staff file audits, including updates on completion and anticipated completion timelines. Regulatory Guidance: Serve as the key point of contact for all compliance-related inquiries and provide guidance on compliance matters to ensure adherence to the Care Act, NMC regulations, and other relevant standards. Person Specification & Requirements:
  • Minimum one years experience in compliance within the healthcare sector.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the healthcare regulatory environment, including the Care Act, NMC regulations, and mandatory training requirements in the health and social care sector.
  • Exceptional auditing skills, proficiency in report writing, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong ethical standards, excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
