Are you a talented Demand Planning professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for optimising stock performance? An established FMCG business is seeking a Demand Planning Controller to lead their planning team and drive improvements across forecasting, inventory management, and supplier performance. This is a hands-on operational role, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day problem solving. The Role As the Demand Planning Controller, you'll manage a small team of Demand Planners, taking full ownership of stock management across a broad product portfolio. You'll ensure product availability to meet customer demand while reducing overstock and improving efficiency. You'll also play a key role in reviewing and refining business processes, embedding a new ERP system (Microsoft Business Central), and collaborating closely with Sales, Commercial, and Operations teams to strengthen forecasting and supplier performance. Key Responsibilities • Lead and develop a team of Demand Planners to deliver strong stock control and accurate reporting. • Take ownership of all stock management processes, ensuring availability while minimising excess. • Review and approve forecasts, including for promotions and new product launches. • Manage supplier relationships, balancing lead times and order quantities for optimal stock levels. • Review and enhance planning processes to make full use of Business Central. • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Commercial, and Operations to align supply and demand. • Track and report supplier performance (OTIF) and oversee supplier invoice approvals. About You • Proven experience in Demand Planning, Purchasing, or Supply Chain Management, ideally within an FMCG or consumer goods environment. • Strong leadership skills with experience managing or developing a small team. • Excellent analytical and organisational abilities. • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills. • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, balancing accuracy with agility. • Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
