Location: commutable from the Dorchester area Skills required for the job – CNC Turner role:
  • Operate and set CNC lathes (some have live tooling’s)
  • Self-Inspection of own work using inspection equipment (PPG’S, micrometres, Verniers and SPG’s).
  • Ensure total process control is maintained using in process inspection.
  • Use engineering drawings to manufacture components to the correct quality standards.
  • Is responsible for ensuring information related to the manufacturing process is recorded accurately, updated and maintained to reflect current process on Job boards.
  • Is responsible for ensuring that preventative machine maintenance schedules are strictly carried out.
  • Maintain a safe and or organised environment to work in.
Experience:
  • PC literate
  • Level 3 engineering qualifications or equivalent
  • Aerospace industry experience desired but not required.
  • Some experience working with engineering drawing and work to instructions.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc control systems
  • The ability to set and operate different machine tools.
