Since our entry into the renewables market in 2010, OEGEN has achieved remarkable milestones, becoming a leading investor in onshore wind across mainland Europe, the largest investor of solar power in Europe, and recently venturing into offshore wind projects. Currently, we manage a global portfolio of over £6 billion in renewable energy assets.
Our operational portfolio consists of more than three hundred large scale energy-generating companies. We take pride in our wind farms, solar power plants, and upcoming projects in energy storage and hydrogen. To support our ambitious growth plans and long-term ownership of energy assets, we are expanding our team.
The Development Portfolio Team is responsible for OEGEN's renewable energy projects that are in the development phase. The team leads the management of a globally diverse and dynamic portfolio of renewable energy developers, pipelines and individual assets. The team is pivotal in cultivating strong relationships with developers, funds, and other key stakeholders, thereby facilitating the successful implementation of OEGEN’s investment strategies in the project development sector.
They are responsible for risk identification and mitigation to ensure that the projects are commercially viable.
Directly manage individual projects through the late development phase (including overseeing planning condition discharge, grid liaison, contracting).
Controlling the risk management process, development budget and programme delivery.
Procurement:
Set the contracting strategy for projects.
Pipeline Quality Oversight:
Work closely with development partners to ensure the quality of the projects within the pipeline and support in optimisations.
Assess the quality / skill sets / risk appetite and judgement of our development partners.
Improve the success rates and timelines for projects reaching the start of construction.
Extensive experience in developing renewable energy projects with a particular emphasis on the later stages of development.
Strong project management and technical background.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or related fields.
Senior management experience in the renewable energy or related sectors.
Proficient in project management, and data and reporting.
