We are on a mission to become the preferred payments partner for professional services firms, offering tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency, client service, and financial control. We currently offer paying agent services, payroll payment processing and supplier payments to the professional service community and are planning to widen our capability to offer TPMA (third party managed accounts) to law firms and accountancy firms and firms offering agency payments model offering a regulated outsourced finance and operations. Role Overview We are seeking a strategic and commercially astute Senior Business Development Executive to expand our network and business growth within the legal and accounting sectors. This senior role is ideal for someone with deep sector knowledge and experience of selling services to professional services firms, a strong network, and a consultative approach to business development. You will be responsible for identifying and securing partnerships with mid-to-large law firms, accountancy practices, and their wider ecosystems. Your remit includes promoting Caxton's core payment solutions and advocating for further development of the product suite to address the unique needs of professional services clients. This is a high-impact role requiring gravitas, credibility, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to shape Caxton's proposition for the professional services market. Key Responsibilities Strategic Growth: Identify, engage, and convert high-value legal and accounting firms into long-term Caxton partners. Consultative Selling: Develop tailored solutions that address client pain points around payments, compliance, and financial operations. Relationship Building: Leverage your network to build trust, accelerate deal cycles, and deepen client engagement. Sector Insight: Act as Caxton's internal expert on the professional services sector, advising on trends, regulatory shifts, and client needs. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Marketing, Compliance, and Client Success teams to ensure our solutions are aligned with market expectations. About You You have deep experience in the legal and/or accounting sectors, either from within or as a trusted advisor or supplier. You understand the operational, regulatory, and financial challenges faced by professional services firms. You have a proven track record of winning and growing B2B accounts through strategic, consultative engagement. You bring a strong network of senior decision-makers across law firms, accountancy practices, and related professional bodies. You are commercially savvy, able to build compelling business cases and navigate complex negotiations. You are driven, credible, and passionate about delivering value and impact.
