Previous experience working with Children or Adults with additional needs is preferred but not essential. Candidates with backgrounds in sports, youth work, care, nursing, coaching, drama and personal experience with children are welcome Your personality and attitude is a key factor when choosing the successful teaching assistant. The job of a teaching assistant is a vital role in education it bridges the gap between teacher and student to digest information, motivate and encourage to fulfil their potential. This teaching assistant role consists of working 1:1 and in small groups with children with either challenging behaviour or special educational needs. You will build a rapport with the child in order to gain their attention and help them focus on the work, aiding their learning. The types of special needs you will be supporting are autism, ADHD, hearing and visual impairment, social and emotional and mental health

You'll be joining a large team of teaching assistants that support school’s needs.
