Commercial / Cost Accountant

Job Description Elevation Senior Finance are working with a leading manufacturer based in Northampton as they look to bring in a Senior Cost Analyst to further strengthen their current Finance Function

The Senior Cost Analyst will influence and support business decisions by bringing financial objectivity, challenge, and insight to proactively support the commercial business teams.
Quality of challenge/insight added to costing process
Produce scenario analysis, in uncertain development situations, to inform commercial decision making
Ensure alignment of inputs and assumptions across various data sources to ensure the accuracy of costing matrixes and product development data sets
Act as a key link role between Finance, NPD, Operations and Commercial to ensure common understanding of process and costs across all the represented groups
Provide costing analysis in support of post launch reviews and post-promotional evaluation to confirm or realign costs for future business activity
Provide ad hoc analysis and project work to support the Commercial, Product Development and Marketing teams
Part qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA
Understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers gained through working experience either in finance or in any other manufacturing roles
