BHSI has an exciting opportunity for an Executive & Professional Lines Claims Examiner to join our dynamic and growing claims team in Manchester. The individual will be responsible for coordinating the adjustment of an exciting and varied Lead and Follow claims across the portfolio, working closely with underwriters internally and key customers and brokers externally. This is an opportunity to work within a highly collaborative team environment dedicated to best in class claims handling.
Managing claims arising from a growing financial lines book of business.
Proactively investigate and handle challenging claims from first notice of loss through ultimate resolution while advising internal stakeholders and meeting with clients and brokers as required.
Negotiate settlement of third-party claims with solicitors and make timely payments upon agreement.
Serve as a technical resource by mentoring other claims professionals and sharing technical knowledge related to financial lines claims
Keeping abreast of legal and regulatory developments and sharing knowledge internally and externally.
Prepare reports, accurately set reserves within handling authority, or make claim recommendations concerning reserve changes above authority.
Should have capability of handling a variety of financial lines claims, including in particular professional indemnity and UK management liability matters.
A minimum 3 to 5 years of financial lines claims handling experience in UK and additional jurisdictions or matching equivalency.
