Clinical Nurse Specialist Team Leader for Fracture Liaison Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Fracture Liaison Service for Clinical Nurse Specialist Team Leader. The post holder will manage a small team of nurses a to provide a robust fracture liaison service . The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership to the team, specialist advice across disciplines, specialities, and sites, and act as a role model for the delivery of expert care.
The postholder will be working in a close-knit team of consultants, nurses, and administration staff. They will report to the Senior Nurse.
We are looking for a colleague who enjoys team working and who has the ability to function as an autonomous practitioner.
You will be expected to liaise with colleagues in secondary and primary care, providing specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers and relatives.
You should have post registration experience in medicine, orthopaedics or equivalent background and be able to evidence Continuous Professional Development.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. - First level nurse registration
- MSc (or working towards)
- Evidence of CPD teaching and assessing in clinical practice/teaching qualification
- Independent prescribing
- Demonstrable experience in primary immunodeficiency and complex allergy
- Significant post registration experience
- Experience of managing own caseload in relevant speciality
- Evidence of excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrate sound information technology skills
- Evidence of managing self-development
- Evidence of ability to work independently
- Demonstrate ability to influence within and outside of service across multi/inter disciplinary groups
- Involvement in audit and research
- Evidence of presenting work within and outside the organisation
- Evidence of specific knowledge and skills in primary immunodeficiency and complex allergy
- Evidence of ability to motivate, influence change, support staff, and evaluate services
- Evidence of professional and personal development
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
