The programme manager will contribute to the delivery of UKRI's £12m public engagement portfolio, including the management and delivery of programmes and the development of new activity.
We design and deliver grants such as the Community Knowledge Fund and host the national public dialogue programme Sciencewise and the Public Attitudes to Science Survey. Scope and develop new public engagement activities, such as grants and experimental projects
Develop new partnerships and engage with key stakeholders, including funders, policy makers, academics and practitioners
Support public engagement leads and the head of public engagement with research and engagement on internal culture change and strategy projects
Successful track record of programme management and delivery, ideally related to research and innovation and/or public participation
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain strong working relationships with senior leadership and a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
Ability to work with senior leaders and frontline practitioners
Expertise, knowledge and networks in one or more of the following areas:
Participatory research or community engagement
