We are seeking an experienced Senior RiskManager with a specialization in Equities to join our dynamicInvestment Risk team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the firmidentifies, evaluates, and mitigates investment risks effectively,contributing to our commitment to deliver outstanding results to ourclients.
You will:
- Use a variety of risk modelsand expert judgement based on market conditions to assess the risks ofportfolios and engage with Portfolio Managers to help improve riskadjusted returns and manage downside risk
- Design and analyserisk attribution reports for use by the Portfolio Managers, SeniorManagement, and other teams e.g. Marketing and Compliance
- Cover all aspects of investment risk, performance and otherrelevant metrics to ensure portfolios are managed in the client’s bestinterest
- Partner with investment teams on risk budgeting,portfolio construction and portfolio optimisation strategies
- Support implementation and development of quantitativesolutions and external systems for analytics and risk management
- Help build out infrastructure and process for disseminationof data via reporting, dashboards, etc.
- Enhance theinfrastructure supporting the generation of risk reports acrossdifferent asset classes
- Routinely engage with the Technologyteam to prioritise development, ensuring consistency in approach anddesign across the Front Office
- Present to clients and avariety of fund and investment trust boards
- Stay abreast ofindustry best practices, regulatory requirements, and marketdevelopments to enhance the firm’s risk management framework
- Manage and mentor Risk Analysts, fostering a culture ofcontinuous improvement and risk awareness across the organisation

Must have skills
- Degree educated or equivalent in a relevantsubject e.g. Quantitative Finance, Statistics
- Significantexperience within investment risk management within the assetmanagement or financial services industry with a focus on equities
- Extensive knowledge of capital markets and derivativesinstruments
- Extensive knowledge of risk models, analytics andstress testing
- Stronganalytical and problem solving skills with good attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with theability to work effectively in team environment and influence at alllevels of the organisation
- Good knowledge of Bloomberg,RiskMetrics, UBS Delta, Cognity, Barra or similar systems
- Good knowledge of data science applications
Nice to have skills
- CFA, FRM orsimilar, or progress toward completion preferred
Investment areas
- Hasresponsibility for supporting portfolios within the Equities AssetClass.
Supervisory responsibilities
- Yes – responsibility for managing two Risk Analysts
