Process Engineering Apprentice KNAUF (UK) GMBH
Knauf are seeking a Process Engineering Apprentice who will maintain the safety, integrity and effective operation of the plant and equipment. You will undertake installation, testing, servicing, removal, replacement, maintenance & repair of a range of equipment.
This pay rate is above National Minimum Wage

Monday - Friday, 7.Level 3 (A level)
Work towards completion of IPS apprenticeship training scheme. Gain the practical skills required to perform the role of Dual Skill Technician with a bias in Process Engineering.
Continually check your progress against the training log book with your mentor.
Shadow and support colleagues within the engineering team to develop practical skills.
Develop good working relationships with members of the engineering team.
Comply with all company policies.
Attend and participate in the daily maintenance morning meeting.
Duties of the Apprentice include:
Support with the maintenance function to ensure appropriate condition monitoring and proactive maintenance activities are in place.
Participate in continuous improvement and step-change projects.
Continually check your progress against the training logbook with your mentor.
Shadow and support colleagues within the engineering team to develop practical skills.
Develop good working relationships with members of the engineering team.
The training you will be getting
Year 1 of the Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard, the learner will attend four days a week within IPS Rochester workshop completing practical skills (Performing Engineering Operations) and one day a week studying the Technical Certificate.
In Year 2, the Apprentice moves to day-release and will attend IPS one day a week to continue the Technical Certificate.
The Apprentice will continue to receive regular training contact with IPS all throughout the programme.
Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician qualification upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
~ Ability to become a Shift Technician, Day Technician, Process Technician (within Mechanical or Electrical discipline)

Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Number skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Interest in Engineering, Good hand eye co-ordination, Willingness to learn
GCSE or equivalent maths and English and Science (Grade 4-9 / A-C) Essential
This apprenticeship has a four year duration and will include a mix of working and studying. Enrolment onto your apprenticeship programme is subject to prior attainment checks, and your Personal Learning Record will be reviewed upon successful appointment. We are also obligated to follow the guidelines around eligibility, set out by the government apprenticeship funding rules. NB: Please include minimum qualifications (GCSE maths and English grades) in your apprenticeship application.
