Description We're looking for a Senior Volunteering & Community Officer to join our fantastic team here in Ynys Môn & Llŷn. If you have experience in volunteer management and community engagement then we'd like to hear from you - with a team of 150 volunteers and vibrant local communities this role is all about connecting with people.

What it's like to work here:Ynys Môn & Llŷn is a recently formed National Trust portfolio with the two areas brought together in order to better focus on our North West Wales coastal sites and communities.
As a portfolio our work involves caring for a wealth of coastal habitats rich in biodiversity. It's unsurprising then that much of your work will focus on engaging and connecting people with the natural environment we care for. Working across all departments and sites you'll champion our portfolio plan for volunteering and community engagement, involving developing new ways of working and deepening relationships with existing and new audiences.

We also have many popular beaches and coastal access points within our care as well as gardens and built properties. Plas Newydd House and Garden is a magnificent mansion house and Grade 1 listed garden on the banks of the Menai Straits. Plas yn Rhiw is a small manor house nestled into a beautiful garden and surrounding woodland on the south coast of Llŷn, and Porth y Swnt is an immersive visitor centre in Aberdaron designed to inspire people to explore more of the peninsula. The properties are all very different and this role presents an exciting opportunity to deliver Ynys Môn & Llŷn's volunteering and community ambition across the portfolio.

You will lead on the development and delivery of this portfolio's strategic plan for volunteering and communities alongside the portfolio leadership team. With a strong focus on seeking out and building relationships with existing and potential new partners and community groups you will also increase the confidence and capability of our volunteer managers. You'll coach all volunteer managers and work collaboratively to embed change, where necessary, whilst widening and deepening our relationships with our audiences.

Alongside our volunteer managers, you will be responsible for creating a collaborative, inclusive, flexible and supportive environment for our existing & future volunteers, communities and partners with the National Trust's value of Everyone Welcome in mind.
