As aClaims Handler, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptionalclaims handling services to a designated portfolio of clients whilecontributing to the overall claims service provision to our esteemedclientele.

Key Tasks andResponsibilities:

  • Manage claims from inceptionto conclusion, ensuring effective communication and collaboration withclients, insurers, loss adjusters, and other relevant parties.
  • Provide expert advice on policy coverage and facilitate thenecessary documentation/information required to advance the claimprocess.
  • Negotiate with insurers to secure optimal andcost-effective settlements for our clients.
  • Ensure realisticand appropriate reserves are set in negotiation with insurers.
  • Maintain accurate records of claims on our internal systemsand ensure timely updates.
  • Attend internal and externalmeetings as necessary, representing the company professionally.
  • Report major or sensitive claims to the accountable AccountExecutive.
  • Understand and adhere to appropriate claimsnotification and investigation procedures for each class of insurance.
  • Document client-specific claim handling arrangements forinternal purposes.
  • Proactively perform claims cleanses andmaintain a diary system for outstanding workload.
  • Prepare andmaintain client claim experiences.
  • Undertake specific tasksdirected by Claims Executives and management, adhering to agreedproject plans and timelines.
  • Solid technical claimsexperience with a comprehensive understanding of the London Market.
  • Familiarity with relevant classes of business, particularlyReal Estate and Property.
  • Proficiency in preparing andinterpreting claims experiences and analyses.
  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills, enabling effectiveinteraction with clients, insurers, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development, bothinternally and externally.
  • Strong time management skills withan ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines without compromisingquality.
  • Analytical and problem-solving aptitude, includingresearch and investigation skills.
  • Understanding ofregulatory controls and procedures.
  • Proficiency in ASSET andMicrosoft Office suite.
  • CII qualifications would beadvantageous.
