We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager for a prestigious manufacturing organisation in the Letchworth area. This position is office based: Monday to Friday.
About the Role: The main responsibility for this position will be managing the Health & Safety for the company and leading on all Health & Safety matters- ensuring that all compliance is followed in line with Health & Safety guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for reducing the risk of accidents and on-site injuries in the workplace by identifying hazards and putting solutions in place to protect employees and visitors to the site.
Maintain ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management Standard
Conduct regular internal audits and workplace inspections
Responsible for ensuring that all risk assessments are created and carried out
Proactively identify hazards in the workplace and implement solutions limiting the risk of accidents
Successfully implement employee-based training to reduce the risk of accidents and illnesses on site
Support shifts and visit regularly to ensure compliance across all shifts
Plus many other ad hoc duties associated with a Health & Safety role
Qualifications: Previously managed Health & Safety in a Manufacturing or Distribution company. Ideally be NEBOSH diploma qualified. Pay range and compensation package: Competitive Salary, Company Pension Scheme, Life Assurance, Employee Assistance Programme, Private Healthcare Scheme
