About:
As a Project Director for ACT, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our projects, ensuring they are executed to the highest standards and within designated timelines. You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, making critical decisions, and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. From monitoring progress to managing risks, your guidance will be instrumental in the successful completion of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitoring and Oversight: Supervise the progress of projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, financial parameters, and project timelines.
- Strategic Leadership: Make informed decisions and provide clear direction to project managers, guiding them in implementing strategies to achieve project objectives efficiently.
- Client Relationship Management: Interface with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and fostering strong working relationships to ensure satisfaction.
- Cost-effective Planning: Develop comprehensive and cost-effective plans to facilitate timely project completion while optimizing available resources.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or reputational harm to the project and the organization.
- Compliance and Legalities: Ensure all necessary permits and legal documentation are obtained in advance to facilitate smooth project execution within regulatory frameworks.
- Team Management: Manage and support project managers, empowering them to effectively lead their teams and fulfill their responsibilities.
- Office and Site Work: Engage in both office-based activities and on-site visits to oversee project operations and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Project Health Dashboard Management: Develop and oversee a dynamic project health dashboard to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics. Provide regular reports to company directors, offering insights into project progress, risks, and opportunities for strategic intervention.
Leadership and Business Management: Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership, make sound business decisions, and effectively manage teams.
Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software relevant to project management, enhancing efficiency in project execution and reporting.
Persistence and Initiative: Proven ability to persevere in the face of challenges, coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure thorough oversight of project activities and compliance with quality standards.
Work Experience: Prior experience in supporting roles within project teams, coupled with proven management experience or qualifications, is essential. Practical exposure to the construction industry is highly desirable.
- 23 Days Holidays (3 Holidays to be taken during Christmas shutdown period).
- Birthday Leave – 1 day additional leave to be taken to celebrate your birthday.
- Length of Service Leave – You will receive 1 day holiday on top of your entitlement for every year that you have worked. (Maximum of 5 additional days).
