Birmingham, United Kingdom Smile Education Full time

Unqualified Teachers - Independent Teaching:
Are you an experienced unqualified teacher who holds a degree in a humanities (History, geography and RE) or core subject (English, science or mathematics) and are keen to gain some experience in teaching your own classes supported by an in-house programme that may lead to an offer to compete your QTS. We are offering a one-year fixed term contract to join one of our schools.
This school prides itself on preparing children for their lifelong journey ahead. The area this school serves has its own challenges, with many children from disadvantaged families and a high level of deprivation. Your students are coming to school for a safe space and have an abundance of pastoral care available to them and their families. Academy leaders have made vast improvements to the curriculum in the past few years, and you will be clear on what you need to teach. In your lessons students embark on a journey covering content and developing skills through engaging and practical activities. This is an exciting permanent opportunity in a school committed to recruiting the best quality teachers to drive their vision forward. You will be really making a difference to children that need it most, some having been through adverse trauma. Many teachers say that’s what they want to do when they go into teaching, yet not many take on roles to make that a reality. Be committed to high quality teaching, learning and improving outcomes for all students.
Be able and willing to travel to the Birmingham area
• Have high expectations of yourself in your career and the pupils you teach

Due to Covid-19 a flexible interview process is in place for this role. A video meeting with a Smile Education representative will be arranged for applicants as a first stage interview.

If you would like to be considered for this permanent role, then please forward your most recent CV with your supporting statement to (url removed). Alternatively, if you would like to have a confidential discussion surrounding other West Midlands based Permanent school positions, please contact Megan at Smile Education.

Smile Education is committed to safeguarding children. We are committed to safeguarding children.
