Location: Cambridge (CB25) Duration: 2 months initially, could extend or go permanent Hours: 9am until 5:30pm (Monday to Friday) - some flexibility available Salary: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour Job Reference: 35453 Polytec are looking for an Electronics Technician to start immediately for our client based just north of Cambridge. Responsibilities:

  • Assembly, rework and repair of electronic equipment
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues
  • Keeping accurate records of repairs, maintenance and modifications
Requirements:
  • Ability to solder very small package components (0201, QFPs, and others)
  • Use of soldering irons, hot air guns, microscopes
  • Ability to follow diagrams and identify electronics components
  • Experience with soldering and rework stations
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and test equipment
  • Electronics technical support experience in a development environment desirable
  • ESD protection awareness
  • IT literate, competent using MS Office
