We are proud to be working with one of the leading charities which cares and supports older people across Hampshire to source a new Chief Executive Officer. The charity works across the county to promote independent living to over 50s. They work tirelessly to make lives easier for older people, their carers and families to ensure they achieve the very best quality of life.
This role will be best suited to an individual who has a passion for working with and supporting older people and who has a superb commercial leadership background with the credibility and energy to take a charity on a journey of growth and diversification of services.
To lead the Charity in a time of change and ensure a long-term strategy is in place so that the Charity delivers its charitable objectives.
Be responsible to the Board of Trustees for the overall financial health of the Charity; Provide leadership in the development of innovative and best practice across all areas of the Charity, including demonstration of outcomes / impact analysis.
Ensure excellence in the management of the charities resources - financial, human and material and that all operational areas deliver to target.
Work with the senior management team to deliver a successful and financially secure charity including its trading operations.
Ensure the Charity's management and organisation structures are fit for purpose and facilitate continuous improvement.
Together with the Board ensure a robust and appropriate risk mitigation and management strategy aligned to the Charity's objectives.
Lead and direct on tender preparation, bid submission and funding applications for projects for new and existing contracts.
Ensures the development of the Charity's digital strategy to maximise the contribution from staff and volunteers and deliver innovative services to clients.
Support the Board of Trustees to maintain good governance in line with the Charity's Memorandum and Articles of Association, Nolan Principles and Good Governance: Code for the Voluntary and Community Sector.
Maintain effective networks with all principal supporters and stakeholders, including but not limited to Local Authorities and other Age UK and Age Concern groups nationally.This role is a vocation and suitable to someone who has a desire to make people's lives better and 'give something back' to the local community #J-18808-Ljbffr
