About the Role
Are you an experienced qualified solicitor or barrister looking for a new challenging and rewarding role? We have an exciting opportunity for you As a Senior Solicitor, you will play a pivotal role in managing a team, providing legal advice with an emphasis on one or more of the following:
- Property including sale and purchase of land, complex leases and land development and regeneration deals.
- Planning, including s.106 agreements and CIL, planning law and policy, reviewing and advising on planning conditions, planning enforcement, attending and advising at planning committee, ideally including knowledge of minerals and waste planning matters.
- Highways, including knowledge and interpretation of the Highways legislation and common law, drafting and negotiating s.38 and 278 agreements, private street works code, rights of way and the definitive map.
This is a position which will be hybrid working with some office attendance as the job requires.
What You'll Do
You will manage a team and act as the go-to expert for one or more of the above areas. Your expertise will help us navigate complex legal landscapes and make informed decisions. You will work closely with our service clients, senior officers, and our elected members on some challenging and exciting projects.

We're looking for an experienced qualified solicitor or barrister who is ready to take on new challenges and make a difference. Previous management experience is not essential as training can be provided.
