Based in Co Monaghan, our client is a well established business currently seeking a Document Controller to join the team.

The successful Document Controller will oversee the management, distribution, and maintenance of all company documents, ensuring all documents are appropriately stored, categorised, and accessible to authorised personnel.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an organised document control system to manage all company documents.
  • Receive, review, and process incoming documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Assign document numbers, version dates, owners, and revisions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Establish and maintain filing systems, both physical and electronic, to ensure efficient document storage and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with department managers to establish document control procedures and protocols.
  • Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner, while maintaining confidentiality and security.
  • Monitor document status and track changes, ensuring that all updates are properly recorded.
  • Conduct regular audits of the document control system to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations i.e. ISO
  • Provide training and support to staff members on document control processes and systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.

Criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in an administration role
  • Highly IT literate and proficient in the use of MS office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Previous experience in document control or records management
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in document management software such as Sharepoint
  • Experience in construction / engineering sector

Salary is in the region of €30 - 40k dependant upon experience + pension + benefits. Training will be provided.
