Search 5.0 are searching for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our exclusive client's team and help them deliver reliable, high-performing services to our users.

This role is perfect for someone with a foundation in IT, systems administration, software development, or DevOps and a desire to deepen their skills in reliability, automation, and cloud infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

  • Work alongside senior SREs to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the reliability of our systems.
  • Help automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency, using scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Go.
  • Work with our DevOps team to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Gain experience with different database technologies such as SQL Server, Postgres, NoSQL
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, learning best practices in incident response and collaborating with senior team members to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

What They Are Looking For:

  • Some experience in software development, systems administration, or IT operations is preferred. Familiarity with Linux environments and basic networking is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, or similar) with a willingness to learn and improve.
  • Familiarity with any major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) is an asset, but we’re happy to provide training if you’re new to cloud infrastructure.
  • Enthusiasm for DevOps practices, such as CI/CD or automation
  • A problem-solving mindset, willingness to tackle technical challenges, eager to learn, and committed to finding solutions to complex problems.
  • Willingness to collaborate, receive feedback, and continuously develop new skills. You’re excited to learn from experienced SREs and take on new challenges.
