Transport Manager
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Manager for a key client based in Harlow. Our client is a leading business within their sector, and they are looking for a transport professional to ensure the seamless and efficient transportation of their products.
Management of Transport Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the transport department, ensuring timely and efficient delivery and collection of equipment.
* Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the transport team, including drivers and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure all transport activities comply with legal requirements and company policies, maintaining high standards of health and safety.
* Fleet Management: Manage and maintain the fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are serviced, safe, and roadworthy at all times.
* Logistics Planning: Develop and implement efficient transport plans and schedules, optimizing routes to minimize costs and improve service delivery.
* Work closely with the customer service team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, addressing any transport-related issues promptly.
* Budget Management: Monitor and manage the transport budget, controlling costs and maximizing profitability.
Experience: Proven experience in a transport management role, preferably within the equipment hire or logistics industry.
* Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and transport management software.
Competitive Salary: £35,000 per annum
