Our client is a leading business within their sector, and they are looking for a transport professional to ensure the seamless and efficient transportation of their products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • of Transport Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the transport department, ensuring timely and efficient delivery and collection of equipment.
  • Leadership: Lead and motivate the transport team, including drivers and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • and Safety: Ensure all transport activities comply with legal requirements and company policies, maintaining high standards of health and safety.
  • Management: Manage and maintain the fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are serviced, safe, and roadworthy at all times.
  • Planning: Develop and implement efficient transport plans and schedules, optimizing routes to minimize costs and improve service delivery.
  • Service: Work closely with the customer service team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, addressing any transport-related issues promptly.
  • Management: Monitor and manage the transport budget, controlling costs and maximizing profitability.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Must hold a valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in National and International Road Haulage.
  • Proven experience in a transport management role, preferably within the equipment hire or logistics industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external customers.
  • Proficiency: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and transport management software.
