Area Sales Manager
As part of a successful and growing sales team Ainscough Crane Hire are looking for an experienced, ambitious Sales Manager to cover the Aberdeen area. This is an opportunity for somebody that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, within a competitive sales team and has a real desire to exceed targets and progress through the business.

Job overview
Whilst the key responsibility for you is to drive Area Sales to achieve annual budgets and to deliver year-on year growth you will also be developing and maintaining relationships with a small portfolio of Managed Account Customers. These customers largely based in the area will be covering major projects. This is an ideal opportunity to gain further experience managing framework renewals and building longer term relationships.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities of an Area Sales Manager
- Researching key business sectors, use facts, figures and tools to present plans, and forecast future goals and targets.
- Dealing effectively and promptly with sales leads from across the business.
- Achieving predetermined monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets in line with specific pricing guidelines.
- Negotiating contracts and framework agreements with new clients within agreed parameters.
- Providing regular updates and forecasts on pipeline, projects and frameworks to the Regional Sales Manager.
Person Specification - Is this you?
Education/Knowledge/Experience for an Area Sales Manager
- Prior sales role(s) and proven influencing and negotiation ability.
- Be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of a sales/buying process.
- A track record of achieving/exceeding targets.
- An understanding of crane hire and the market is helpful but not essential, a technical sales background is preferred.
- A high achiever who is career orientated and likes to work to challenging goals.
- IT literate and familiar with Microsoft office products- Particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Desirable construction related sector experience.
Skills/Abilities
- Ability to demonstrate a structured approach to sales planning and presentations.
- Ability to write articulate and effective proposals and reports in response to customer needs.
- Ability to deliver value added presentations to clients.
- Ability to negotiate and build strong relationships.
- Strong customer focus and with a deep understanding customer relationships and business process.
- Ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated, committed to meeting deadlines (self-imposed and external), and to manage multiple requirements and demands effectively.
