In this role you will have:

• A good appreciation for coffee and specialty drinks, and understand the fundamentals of bean grinding and frothing

• Knowledge of basic safety at work and hygiene procedures

Main Duties/Responsibilities

Your typical day will include these duties:

• Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea and speciality beverages
• Maintain coffee grinding and brewing with equipment, accessories, and supplies
• Clean and sanitise work areas, utensils, equipment, surface and seating areas throughout the day and when closing
• Serve customers and take orders
• Describe menu items and suggest products to customers
• Receive and process customer payments
• Order, receive and distribute stock supplies
• Food preparation and service, also general management of the area
• Speak and interact with both new and regular customers
• Follow health and safety guidelines
• Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
• Contribute to a positive team environment
• Promote coffee consumption by educating customers

Qualifications/Licences/Certifications/Experience

• Secondary/high school diploma, or equivalent, preferred
• Familiarity with electronic point-of-sales (EPOS) software
• Food Hygiene level 1 certificate
• Experience making and serving coffee
• Some previous experience in a retail or hospitality role such as Waiter/Waitressing, front of house, coffee shop or caf?? experience is a bonus
• Experienced and comfortable with working busy shifts
