Joining a government ministry that specialises in developing a digitally-enabled system that makes a real difference by building adaptable and effective service.

You as the Commercial lead would be required to support the Digital Stabilisation Programme.

Skills & experience required bullet points

A Commercial Lead will provide (albeit not limited to):

  • Commercial and contractual advice and assurance to the Programme Team on the procurement of services;
  • Ensure that the Authority’s and Cabinet Office policy, practice and frameworks are followed and compiled with;

Lead the procurement of all Digital and Technology commercial services required to support with the objectives of the Stablisation programme and provide contract management as required

  • Draw up commercial and contractual documentation and taking ownership for the content, consultation with inputters, reviewers, assurers and approvers;
  • Direct the selection of any Third Party Suppliers ensuring all protocols and practice are adhered with;
  • Ensure Value for Money and saving are achieved in procurement projects.
  • Experience in Senior Stakeholder engagement; work closely and build relationships and provide commercial advice and guidance to senior programme stakeholders

Support commercial colleagues in the sector.

Essential

  • Extensive commercial experience working in public sector procurement and leading Commercial IT projects and programmes
  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with frameworks
  • Strong Senior Stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experienced risk management skills

Desirable

  • MCIPS or equivalent
