Joining a government ministry that specialises in developing a digitally-enabled system that makes a real difference by building adaptable and effective service.
You as the Commercial lead would be required to support the Digital Stabilisation Programme.
Skills & experience required bullet points
A Commercial Lead will provide (albeit not limited to):
- Commercial and contractual advice and assurance to the Programme Team on the procurement of services;
- Ensure that the Authority’s and Cabinet Office policy, practice and frameworks are followed and compiled with;
Lead the procurement of all Digital and Technology commercial services required to support with the objectives of the Stablisation programme and provide contract management as required
- Draw up commercial and contractual documentation and taking ownership for the content, consultation with inputters, reviewers, assurers and approvers;
- Direct the selection of any Third Party Suppliers ensuring all protocols and practice are adhered with;
- Ensure Value for Money and saving are achieved in procurement projects.
- Experience in Senior Stakeholder engagement; work closely and build relationships and provide commercial advice and guidance to senior programme stakeholders
Support commercial colleagues in the sector.
Essential
- Extensive commercial experience working in public sector procurement and leading Commercial IT projects and programmes
- Excellent knowledge and experience working with frameworks
- Strong Senior Stakeholder management skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong project management skills
- Experienced risk management skills
Desirable
- MCIPS or equivalent
