The Corporate Counsel, Leasing (EMEA) is responsible for legal support of customer agreements in the EMEA region, including data center leases, service agreements, and related documents. In addition to providing excellent legal support, the candidate must bring a proactive, business, and solution-oriented mindset to legal matters, and the ability to work collaboratively across the organization. Ideal candidates for this role will have a combinaton of in-house and law firm experience, strong business acumen, and a passion for contributing to a growing business.
Provide legal guidance and negotiation skills with respect to data center transactions in EMEA.
Work with cross-functional teams to gather input and consensus on technical, operational, and compliance aspects of data center transactions.
Provide practical, business-focused, and sound legal advice to the EMEA Sales, Construction, Finance, Corporate Development, and Operations teams as needed.
Provide proactive advice that enables Vantage to achieve its business and strategic objectives while fully and appropriately managing and leveraging legal risk.
Responsible for assisting with all legal matters involving customer relationships.
Draft and negotiate agreements with hyperscalers and large wholesale and enterprise customers, including, without limitation, letters of intent, date center leases, service and colocation agreements, service orders, and non-disclosure agreements.
Assist with the development, implementation, and management of methodology improvements in the customer negotiation process and resolve legal issues that arise in existing customer relationships.
Support global legal strategy for customer agreements, including contract management and governance.
Provide legal analysis of customer agreements in support of certain business development and financing transactions, including document review and due diligence.
Provide legal guidance with respect to compliance initiatives for customer agreements.
Support the EMEA Legal, Sales, Construction, Finance, Corporate Development, and Operations teams as needed.
Role based in the Cardiff or London office.
Ideally 1 to 5 years of post qualification legal experience in private practice and /or in-house.
Commercial and / or real estate experience preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and legal writing skills. Vantage Data Centers is an Equal Opportunity Employer
