The Loddon School is looking for an assistant to join the DBAS (Department of Behaviour Analysis and Support) team. The department aims to improve the quality of life of our children by teaching them the most useful skills, focusing on a positive approach, teaching them functional skills and coping strategies by using therapeutic methods following data gathering and analysis. Our strategies are personalised to each child’s needs, using a person-centred approach. Loddon is a 52 weeks residential special school where you could make a difference every day to the children. We are looking for someone who is passionate in providing support to our children and their staff team, working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, who will place teamwork with others at the forefront of their work. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with children with Autism and/or Learning Difficulties as well as understanding Positive Behaviour Support. The candidate also would be passionate about providing quality care and education for the children, would be patient and understanding and will ensure that they are always promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children.
You will have knowledge of PROACT-SCIPr-UK® / Loddon PLLUSS would be desirable, however training will be provided for the right candidate.
Collating and co-ordinating data input, analysing and creating/updating behaviour graphs for all students.
· Working with teams to review and update behaviour support guidelines.
· Monitoring implementation of strategies/support plans for all children.
· Supporting in delivering training to teams and induction sessions to new staff members.
· Monday to Friday 8.A degree of flexibility may be needed around these hours, to support the needs of the team.
The salary is based on full time employment and are dependent on relevant qualifications and previous experience in similar settings.
