PositionOverview: As the Commercial Delivery Lead, you will head adynamic team, sized and scaled to effectively manage the commercialactivities within your designated business area. Your role willencompass the responsibility for overseeing commercial strategies,procurement processes, supplier relationships, and internal policyimplementation to enhance operational efficiency and achieve thebank's strategic objectives. You will also play a crucial role intraining, developing, and expanding your team to meet growing businessdemands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Collaboration and Support: Coordinate with peersacross different business units to define and delegateresponsibilities, ensuring all areas are well-equipped to managecontracts effectively.
- Policy Implementation andStakeholder Management: Drive the adoption of internalprocurement policies and supplier management standards, influencingkey stakeholders and aligning with the bank's commercial practices.
- Strategy Development: Assist in the formulation oflong-term category strategies that align with the overarching goals ofthe bank.
- Commercial Management: Oversee andchallenge strategic priorities, manage procurement activities, andensure the realization of value from commercial operations.
- Capability Development: Foster the growth ofcommercial competencies within the team and business areas throughregular training sessions and continuous engagement.
- Supplier and Contract Oversight: Handle supplier disputes,manage negotiations, and ensure robust management of key suppliers,including those categorized as Gold or cross-tower.
- Riskand Compliance: Implement risk management controls and ensurecompliance with bank policies, focusing on effective contract andsupplier management.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with subject matter specialists to drive sustainabilitywithin your category.
- Performance Metrics: Developand maintain performance metrics to monitor and report on serviceimprovements.
- System Utilization: Ensureconsistent use of eProcurement systems in accordance with internalworkflows and policies.
- Quality Assurance: Providecommercial oversight and quality assurance for tender documentationand procurement processes handled by your team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Technical Capabilities:
- Extensive experience inmanaging complex supplier relationships and stakeholder engagements.
- Proficiency in public procurement at the PCR level andfamiliarity with public-sector frameworks.
- Demonstratedability in managing entire project life cycles within a client-focusedenvironment.
- Strong background in post-award contract andsupplier management.
- MCIPS qualification or equivalentcommercial experience.
