An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sensors Engineer to join our future programmes EC&I Department at Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby supporting the Dreadnought and SSNA programmes.

The future programmes EC&I department designs the Reactor Control and Instrumentation, Power Systems and Plant Sensors equipment across the UK. You will be involved in delivering sensor design, modifications and providing V&V and build and commissioning support. Electro-Mechanical design engineers from a broad range of equipment design, commissioning and support backgrounds would be considered and specific product-based training will be provided.

Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
Response to rectifying build and commissioning sensors equipment defects/requests for technical information involving some occasional on-site work
Production of build and commissioning documentation

Electro-Mechanical Design experience across either design, build and commissioning or in service products or assets
Experience of design development engineering
Experience of Lifecycle Engineering across the full V curve
Electrical, mechanical or other relevant engineering qualification
