Full-time, 42.5 hours per week. M to Thu 7.30 am to 5.30 pm (1 lunch) and Fri 7:30 am to 3 pm. (start/finish times can be negotiated as needed).
32-36,000 DOE

The Purchasing & Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for the procurement and supply of component parts, resolving any challenges within the supply chain, whilst working in a fast-paced environment in which schedules and priorities can change.

Salary is dependent on the level of relevant experience in a similar role/industry.

Key duties & responsibilities of the Purchasing & Supply Chain Coordinator:

  • Liaising across all departments including contract managers, manufacturing facility managers, operatives, and kitting team as well as warehouse managers to ensure the timely procurement and supply of component parts.
  • Working closely with the design and development team and assisting with the transferral of newly designed solutions onto our SAP Business One system and liaising with the manufacturing department to ensure a smooth transition into full scale production.
  • Prioritise order placement to manage the impacts of varying component lead times across all products.
  • Analyse product trends to develop and maintain a schedule of forward ordered components to combat any extended product lead times.
  • Produce, manage, and control Bills of Materials within SAP Business One and control product revisions as solutions evolve.
  • Resolve challenges in the supply chain that can occur, such as component shortages, delivery delays, obsolescent components and provide the design team with options and alternatives.
  • Challenging supplier price increases in a constructive manner, whilst continually researching and investigating alternative components (under the guidance of the existing team) to ensure our solutions remain as cost competitive as possible.

Key skills and experience required for the Purchasing & Supply Chain Coordinator:

  • Previous purchasing/supply chain experience
  • Have some engineering knowledge or background would be advantageous
  • Ideally some knowledge of SAP or a similar software (not essential)
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), organisational, and administrative skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible with their workload with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Good numeracy and IT proficiency (including Microsoft Office).
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills.
